#6 The Phrase "Straight Up"
Sean often slips, "Straight up" into conversations. It often happens simultaneously with a wrist flick or is followed by a few shallow nods. The equation he uses to know when to use it goes something like this:
"He walked over and said, 'gimme yo money o I shoot chew'. Straight up."
"I'm so intelligent. I just straight up download facts into my brain."
"That waitress wanted me so bad. She looked an me and was like, 'Straight up, I'm down for anything'."
Clearly no Paula Abdul's Straight Up, this much I can tell you. But keep in mind that when Sean slips one of these bad boys at the end of a statement, he's really looking for some understanding. A knod will suffice -- just know "straight up" is Sean's way of begging for validation. So be kind, and pretend to believe the little guy.
